Authentic marketing for boutique lodges and operators
Storytelling & Travel Trade
We help northern and remote-community operators show up like the destination they already are — pairing strategic storytelling with on-the-ground know-how, from stakeholder engagement to trade-show relationships. Small teams, big-picture thinking, and a genuine understanding of what it takes to run a business off the beaten path.
Meet Kendra
Kendra leads strategic direction, research, and stakeholder engagement design for Northern Collaborative's municipal and economic development work — from situational and comparative analysis through to report authorship and final presentation to council or committee.
Her background is rooted in chamber of commerce leadership, where she led a three-organization amalgamation and rebrand, administered a $152,000 federal economic development grant, and founded a regional stakeholder recognition campaign. She also drove 8–10% annual membership growth at a northern chamber of commerce during her time in Yellowknife, NT — an experience that gave her sustained, firsthand exposure to the operating realities of remote and land-based communities.
That combination of process discipline and northern context shapes how she approaches every engagement: grounded research, clear frameworks, and recommendations built for the communities they're meant to serve.
Meet Amy
Amy brings the tourism and economic feasibility lens to Northern Collaborative's engagements, leading feasibility framing, capital investment planning, and market positioning — alongside coordinating the on-the-ground engagement activity that keeps projects connected to the communities they serve.
She has lived and worked in Chief Drygeese Territory, building close working relationships with Yellowknives Dene First Nation (YKDFN) and other First Nations communities across the NWT and Nunavut. Her own experience living and working in an off-grid community gives her a practical, firsthand understanding of the operational realities many northern and remote communities face — and the kind of grounded, proactive problem-solving that comes with it.
Together with her local presence and relationships, Amy typically leads the majority of in-person engagement throughout a project, ensuring communities have a consistent, familiar point of contact from start to finish.
